Ravindrakumar Kshirsagar (Founder and Director)
Ravi received his formal education at Amravati University and obtained Masters Degree in Biotechnology. He had been a consistent performer in his academics and was awarded Dr. B.B. Kadu Memorial Medal for securing first class first position in annual university examinations. He has received numerous prizes during his academic stint at college, university and national levels. 

He is a recipient of prestigious Lady Tata Memorial Research Scholarship which was conferred to him for carrying out a research project in comparative genomics of bacterial pathogens of human respiratory tract. Ravi was also among the six finalists for The Paul Foundation Scholarships for studying abroad for his PhD studies.

He worked with National AIDS Research Institute Pune for three years where he was engaged in AIDS vaccine development project. Presently he is associated with Serum Institute of India Limited Pune and working on process development and optimization of recombinant therapeutic proteins. His area of interest is infection biology of viruses and molecular sequence analysis.

Ravi has also completed Executive Program in Business Management form Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He is serving as a consultant for academic institutions for development of case studies and course material for management and basic science courses in biotechnology. He has mentored numerous students in developing their academic and professional career and works as a free lance academic consultant.

His responsibilities in the organizations include academia industry and research interface development, course and content development and fund raising.
He has represented at numerous conferences and workshops in India and abroad. His interests include music and reading books.

 
   
Sujata (Patil) Kshirsagar  
Sujata is an engineering graduate in electronics. She did her degree education from Kolhapur Institute of Technology, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. She has rich experience of over 5 years in development of micro controller based products. She specializes in windows and Linux operating systems and C and C++ languages. Being a qualified software engineer and trained resource personnel in project management, Sujata looks after the operations of Bioexcellence . She is responsible for designing key strategies for the operating activities, execution and integration.

Sujata has worked with Honeywell Automation Systems Pune and currently working with Sasken Communications Bangalore. She has a keen interest in academic developmental activities and presently working on development of new algorithms for biological sequence analysis.

Sujata is a fitness freak and takes equal interest in cooking. Sujata and Ravi are married over a year

Satish Chauk  
Satish is a software engineer by profession and works as a freelancer for various companies. His area of interest are database administration, web development, e-commerce and e-learning. He is associated with Bioexcellence since last 3 years and has been instrumental in developing Biofriend India one of most successful group on internet for biotechnology students.
At Bioexcellence, Satish heads the Information Management Systems department. His major responsibilities include management of journals, web site development and management, content editing and publications.

Satish is presently working on development of Learning Management System (LMS), a web based tool for e-learning. The project is expected to generate a low cost and powerful tool for delivering course material to biotechnology students. Various projects are underway under his supervision for developing course material for NET, SET and JNU examinations which could be made available to students at affordable cost.

Satish is fond of computers and spends a good part of his routine with programming, bugging and debugging the systems.

Dr. Andrew Lees  
Andrew Lees, Ph.D., scientific director and founder of Fina Biosolutions, is an internationally recognized expert in mixed-mode protein chromatography. He consults for Pall Corporation on protein chromatography applications and since 1998 has taught protein chromatography in Europe, India, Singapore, and across the United States.

Additionally he is recognized for his work in conjugate vaccines. One of his inventions underlies the chemistry of GlaxoSmithKline∙s pediatric conjugate vaccines Menitorix and Synflorix. Menitorix prevents meningitis caused by Neisseria meningitidis group C or haemophilus influenzae type B. Synflorix, currently under development, will protect against otitis, meningitis, and pneumonia. Currently, Dr. Lees is co-developing conjugate vaccines with the Serum Institute of India.

Dr. Lees is an adjunct faculty member at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and an affiliate of the University of Maryland Bioprocessing Scale-Up Facility. He holds 15 patents and is the author or co-author of more than 40 papers. His Ph.D. in Biophysics is from the Johns Hopkins University.

On his own time Andy indulges a passion for bicycles and delights children with magic tricks at birthday parties.

Sandeep Saxena  
Sandeep Saxena, CEO, Acton Biotech Pune is a graduate in life science from St Xavier
College, Mumbai and MBA in Finance and Marketing from Delhi. He has
research experience in genetics from TIFR,Mumbai.

He is multidisciplinary person with hands on experience in
bioinformatics, genetics, finance, journalism, sales and marketing. He
is an avid reader and has a passion for automobiles, computer games,
technology products, and startups.
